Pastor Jason Tucker
Pastor Jason Tucker was born and raised in Lee's Summit, Missouri, where he attended and graduated from Lee's Summit High School.
On February 9, 1997, as a 17 year old, he trusted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour. After graduation from high school, he attended the University of Missouri-Rolla (UMR), now known as Missouri University of Science and Technology (MS&T), for five years, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering. Preceding his final year at UMR, while attending a week of revival at Landmark Baptist Church with Pastor Hal Hightower preaching, the Lord worked in a great way in his heart. Feeling the Lord calling him to preach, he surrendered to the Lord's calling that week.
Upon graduation from UMR in May 2003, Pastor Tucker worked part-time at a small engineering firm and began working part-time at Landmark Baptist Church under Pastor Darren Myers as an assistant to the pastor. In the fall of 2004, Landmark Baptist Church opened Landmark Christian Academy, where he served as the principal for 10 years. During this time, Pastor Tucker studied to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Pastoral Studies and Christian Education.
In May of 2014, Pastor Tucker began serving solely as the Assistant Pastor of Landmark Baptist Church. The following spring, in March of 2015, he was called as the Pastor of Landmark Baptist Church.
Pastor Tucker's desire is to do what God has called him to do. He prays and desires that the Landmark Baptist Church would have, and keep, a vision for the lost, and a desire to be more Christlike.
Pastor Tucker married Kristina Smith of Lone Jack, Missouri in 2001, and they have four children: Allison, Rebekah, Susannah, and Levi Tucker.
