If you are searching for answers and the truth regarding life, death and eternity - here are the basics.

1.  Man is an eternal creature, created by God with a body and soul and a spirit. 1Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2.  The spirit of man is "dead in trespasses and sins", and as a result experiences guilt, insecurity and emptiness. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

3.  God loves us and created us to know Him personally. Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

4.  Jesus, God's only begotten Son, died for our sins that they might be forgiven. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

5.  When we believe on Jesus and receive His forgiveness for sin, our spirit is made alive because there is no more penalty for that sin.  This replaces the guilt, insecurity and emptiness with joy, assurance and purpose! Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

If you have not humbly confessed to Jesus that you are a sinner, and need his forgiveness and life, He invites you to pray. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Would you pray from a heart of faith:

"Lord, I know I am sinner and cannot go to heaven the way I am.  I do believe that Jesus died for me and rose again after three days, as the Bible says.  Right now I'm asking you to save me, wash away my sin, give me the gift of eternal life.  I put my faith and trust in you to save me, now.  Thank you Lord, for saving me."
