HOME Serving God as a Teen
The teen ministry is one that we take very seriously. We want it to be sharp and relevant. We have activities planned for the whole year which inlude Triple S Christian Camp in Rose Bud, AR, National Youth Conference in Louisville, KY, the Rolla Area Teen Rally with Greg Locke, and much more.All Teen activities are staffed teen workers who love God and love working with young people.
Our goals for the teen Group are to 1) Reach as many teens as we can with the gospel of Jesus Christ, 2) Have fun while serving and honoring God, and 3) Help the teens to fall in love with God and His word, through a daily walk with Him.
New Summer Ministry
1. Teen Choir
Wednesday Nights, 6:30-7:00
Our goal is to have 20-30 teens singing choir songs especially for young people. We will also be breaking down into small groups to practice specials, including vocal and instrumental. We will have teen specials in the main service on Wednesday nights!
2. "Sunday School" on Wednesday Nights
Wednesday, 7:00-7:30 PM
This will be our time to break into small groups. Mrs. Tammy and Mrs. Kristina will be teaching the girls and Bro. Myers and Bro. Brady will be teaching the boys. Teachers aides will include Bro. Scott, Mrs. Krystal, and Miss Rachel. This will be a great time to ask questions and learn to apply the Bible to real life!
3. Preaching
Sunday Mornings, 10:00-10:50
Bro. Brady will be preaching to teens of all ages. This service is geared to young people in general and to visitors. You will enjoy singing choruses, crazy time activities, and practical preaching to stir the heart!
4. Activities
Our major activities this summer will be the Rolla Teen Rally with Greg Locke (which includes food, inflatables, prizes, and great preaching), and the Youth Conference in Louisville, KY. Class activities will also be announced by each teacher.
5. Service
Service opportunities will include the monthly Rest Home Service, Saturday Outreach at 10 A.M, and performing specials on Wednesday nights. Other opportunities are available in the Bus Ministry and Junior Church with Pastor's approval.
